Ismail Khalaf from Abu Dis has now been on hunger strike in Israeli jail for *100 days* protesting against administrative detention (imprisonment without trial). He was put in jail for six months with no trial, and then when the Israelis renewed the term, still with no trial, he went on hunger strike in July. His parents and community are extremely worried – he has been living on salt water and taken no food for all of that time and he is now extremely weak. This photo is from a protest stand in the middle of the town, calling for his release. Still the Israeli authorities refuse to discuss his case, but his case is as strong as ever – if he is accused of anything, put him on trial – If he is not accused, he should be released immediately.
