CADFA are excited to tell you about our new teachers’ exchange project taking place in winter 15-16. The visit of 14 teachers from Palestine follows years of work linking schools in Palestine and Britain. School links have been built up through years of visits by children, several teachers’ visits, and the work of CADFA volunteers with schools at both ends helping to support communication between schools. Teachers on this year’s exchange will enable teachers from both countries to work together on ways to spread and strengthen this initiative. The visit will include visits to schools, workshops and a final conference at the NUT.
The major funder for the exchange is Erasmus + and there will also be local fundraising activities taking place this autumn.
This work will centre on Camden-Abu Dis links but teachers from other places will be able to take part. CADFA are working now with people from local education authorities and trade unions on both sides to find the best dates for the visit in late autumn 2015 or early 2016. We welcome the interest of teachers and Britain-Palestine twinning groups.
