Twenty Years of CADFA
December 9, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
CADFA is 20.
CADFA is twenty in the terrible context of Israel’s war on Gaza and pogroms and murders in the West Bank. We will be marking this day in a solemn way that gives us a chance to learn from the past twenty years and express solidarity for the present and the future.
Camden-Abu Dis links began on 9th December 2003 and, the following year, the charity CADFA was set up as a way to promote human rights and respect for international humanitarian law in Palestine. Twenty years of building links between people and groups in the UK and Palestine – visits, projects and volunteer programmes has contributed to the growing movement for human rights in Palestine.
GAZA & the rest of PALESTINE
This day is being planned while Israel is bombarding Gaza with ferocity. Tens of thousands of people have been wounded and over ten thousand killed in a month, while Israeli settlers and the army are terrorising Jerusalem and the West Bank with around five people being killed every day. This event will be run in a spirit of solidarity and in order to explore the usefulness of linking work in the campaign against apartheid and for equality and human rights in Palestine.
