Can you help with the Palestinian children’s visit to East Anglia this July?
Just before the end of the school year, CADFA ( a human rights charity that brings people from Palestine and the UK together in creative projects that extend British people’s understanding of the human rights situation in Palestine) will be organising a visit of eight Palestinian teenagers and three leaders from the West Bank and Jerusalem to the East Midlands, East Anglia and East London.
They will meet young people here in schools and youth clubs, take part in community events and for two weeks have a taste of a freedom to travel that’s is a huge contrast to their lives under Israeli occupation.
There will be public events – welcome meals and similar – in Cambridge, Peterborough, Sheringham, Norwich, Lowestoft, Ipswich, Bedford and London. These will be ticketed and there will be info on Cadfa.org.
There is help needed with organising events, press and publicity and also fundraising for this hugely expensive visit. If you can help practically, please get in touch with contact@cadfa.org and if you can, please contribute to the fundraising efforts here:
On Refugee Day 20th June, the Palestinian children will be doing a sponsored walk in their home towns, villages and refugee camps to help raise the money needed, and several groups will do the some here. Would you like to sponsor them, or join in wherever you live?
If you are a young person or have contact with young people who would like to meet them, we’d be specially glad to hear from you – but everyone can have a role in making this visit a success for the young people themselves and also for the awareness-raising efforts that it is part of.
This will be the FOURTH youth visit from Palestine that CADFA has run since September 2025! The others went to Wales, the North and London. And this visit will follow hard on the heels of an exciting women’s visit planned for June.
