What is the women’s visit about? CADFA has been running women’s visits from Palestine to Britain and also from Britain to Palestine for over 20 years now. Along with our other visits (youth, students etc) these help to spread understanding of what is happening in Palestine and to encourage people to work for human rights.

The Building Hope | Voices from Palestine project In 2022, we decided to prioritise the visits from Palestine to the UK over visits to Palestine (which at time of writing are not possible in any case) because they can take Palestinian voices to reach many new people including people who don’t know much about Palestine. We aim to take Palestinians to meet people here from many backgrounds in towns, villages and cities. Just one part of the Building Hope project, our last women’s visit in 2023 took Palestinian women to Bristol, Cornwall, South and Mid-Wales, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Newcastle, the South of England, East Anglia and London. Then in 2024, 2025 and early 2026, we have run a series of youth visits – another part of the Building Hope project is the Beyond the Checkpoints project for young people – see elsewhere on this website. These visits are creative, hopeful, build contacts and further projects and definitely build hope.

Can we really run a women’s visit at this point? It’s a really difficult time now with the human rights violations, apartheid and genocide Palestinians have been suffering under Israeli occupation spilling over into major international war – but all the more reason to work for hope and to listen to the voices of Palestinians. We have set June as the date and will put everything in place but will be on our toes in case we need to make changes.

The June 2026 visit will be organised with 14 partners across England and Wales and will take women from across West Bank and Jerusalem to meet women all over the country here.

WHERE will the women go? Current visit partners are in London, Birmingham, South of England, Cornwall, South Wales, Welsh border, Merseyside, Lancashire, Yorkshire and possibly more! Keep an eye on this page for up to date information.
