DESCRIPTION:CADFA is 20.\nCADFA is twenty in the terrible context of Israel’s war on Gaza and pogroms and murders in the West Bank. We will be marking this day in a solemn way that gives us a chance to learn from the past twenty years and express solidarity for the present and the future.\nCamden-Abu Dis links began on 9th December 2003 and\, the following year\, the charity CADFA was set up as a way to promote human rights and respect for international humanitarian law in Palestine. Twenty years of building links between people and groups in the UK and Palestine – visits\, projects and volunteer programmes has contributed to the growing movement for human rights in Palestine.\nGAZA & the rest of PALESTINE\nThis day is being planned while Israel is bombarding Gaza with ferocity. Tens of thousands of people have been wounded and over ten thousand killed in a month\, while Israeli settlers and the army are terrorising Jerusalem and the West Bank with around five people being killed every day. This event will be run in a spirit of solidarity and in order to explore the usefulness of linking work in the campaign against apartheid and for equality and human rights in Palestine.\nPROGRAMME (May be changed- we will update this here)\n1 – Raised Voices choir singing Solidarity Songs for Palestine\n2- Speaker from the UK Twenty years of linking together for human rights\n3 – Tim Sanders (fine artist)\,\nSarah Saunders (photographer)\na writer(being confirmed):\nLinking to Palestine: art for human rights\n4- Refreshments\n5- A local human rights lawyer What does the international legal framework offer the struggle for equality and human rights?
