Spotlight on human rights in Palestine: a series of events for Human Rights Day 2021
December 1 @ 6:30 pm - December 12 @ 9:00 pm
The human rights situation is so serious in Palestine that we have decided this year not just to hold an event on Human Rights Day (10th December) but to work with a number of partner groups and hold events that each focus on a different human right that is systematically denied to Palestinians.
There will be in-person events, Zoom events, street events and a final Zoom conference which focuses on actions to promote human rights. We will also focus on the difficulties that Israel is putting in the way of six Palestinian human rights organisations.
Do come to an in-person meeting if you can; if you can’t, the Palestinian speakers will be on Zoom and you can join Zoom to hear them. Each meeting will be different and you will be welcome to join several or all of them.
On the final day (12th Dec), our Zoom conference will allow for discussion between as many of us as possible.
The full programme is on the post above.
Our partners in the UK are Bedford-Al Walaja, Northampton-Al Bireh, Llanidloes – Assawiya, Pendle-Beit Leed (twinning groups), Waltham Forest PSC, The Olive Harvest Trust, friends of CADFA in Cornwall, Radnor Palestine Links. We are grateful to Dar Assadaqa, Addameer, Defence for Children International, Al Quds University Centre for Community Work and many other friends in Palestine for their contributions.
