These beautiful hangings are some of the embroideries sewn in Abu Dis in the early days of CADFA, around ten years ago. These two were made by Saleema Sabbah, who was particularly good at sewing and embroidery. We are very sorry to hear that she passed away some days ago, after a long illness. We send our deepest condolences to her family. Her embroidery will always remind us of her.

CADFA Women’s Links group have decided to run a stall on Saturdays at the Brunswick Centre, Russell Square. Starting out with Palestinian oil and pottery, they hope to add Palestinian pastries to their offer, and to use money raised to support women’s exchanges between Britain and Palestine. Their first day will be tomorrow 14th November, and we wish them lots of luck!
The twinning groups, the schools, the teachers, the programme for the #TeachersInAction project are slowly coming into place – The Palestinian group will come to the UK next January and the UK group will go to Palestine next year in October. CADFA were asked by friends in Hackney to help with a stall in Stoke Newington today. Stars of the event were CADFA youth links group who baked cakes to raise money for their fund, gave out leaflets about what is happening in Palestine and collected petition signatures calling for human rights for Palestinians!
