CADFA volunteers have been working hard on CADFA stalls this week in North London. There’s lots of interest, both in the things we’re selling (products from Palestine) and in the issue of Palestine and human rights. If you’d like to help on one of our stalls (it’s fun!) or would like to buy Palestinian pottery – dolls – embroidery – olive oil and zaatar, do get in touch!
At the end of November/ beginning of December, CADFA as a partner to the Higher Council of Youth and Sports helped to build an International Youth Camp in Palestine. Twenty-six CADFA visitors formed the UK part of the camp based in Jericho which totalled over 200; there were visitors from 17 countries as wide-apart as Argentina, India, South Africa, Finland, Canada, Sri Lanka and many more. We are seeking to give a jump-start to the human rights media work with young people and women at Dar Assadaqa, Abu Dis. Young people in Abu Dis live between the Israeli Separation Wall, checkpoints, settlements and the Israeli military camp. Many have had their education disrupted through time in Israeli jails.
